Four Seasons Backwell 29th January Report Print

For our first Four Seasons of 2011 we competed at Backwell, we had new swimmers competing in their first gala, Mia Smith, Naomi Flossman and Joshua Jones.

We had 24 wins on the night (club record) which was outstanding.  We managed 20 PB’s for individual races with PB’s of the night going to Angus Rowley of 8.65sec in the 50 breast, Archie Watts of 4.85 sec in the 25 fly and Dan Hicks with 4.45sec in the 25 fly, well done.

Well done to the boys 9 and under relay team (Joe, Archie, Joshua and Jake) and the 11 and under girls (Georgia, Ellen, Rebecca, Maddy, Lauren) and 11 and under boys (Wilf, Oscar, Samuel,  Sam, Archie) 12 and under girls (Molly, Ellen, Maddie, Maddy, Georgia) for winning all of their relays, well done.

There were also some very impressive split times on the night and if you would like to know these times just ask me at a session.

Thank you to Tina, Hilary, Roger, Louise, Jess and Curt for helping.

Well done Team.

Swim School Time Trials Thursday 3rd February Print

There will be swim school time trials on Thursday 3rd February. Swimmers are asked to  turn up at the usual time and parents are required to help with timekeepimg please (no experience necessary). Swimmers should bring a shirt and towel to poolside to allow them to keep  warm between events.

2011 Open Meets Print

The club are targeting five open meets in the spring and summer of 2011. A list of these meets is given below with instructions on how to get the meet information packs. Kelly Longdon has kindly volunteered to be our open meets coordinator and entry forms and Cheques (payable to BHSC please) are to be returned to her by the dates indicated. If you want to know if you should be entering these meets then please talk to Bob who will also advise on which events to swim.

April 9th/10th   3 Towers L3 meet – Millfield

Long Course Training Dates Print

Long Course training has been arranged at Bath University on the following Sundays from 3.00pm to 5.00pm. The junior sessions at Clifton High School will still run but not of course the A squad sessions.

Cotswold League Round 2 Team 5th February Print

The second round of the Cotswold League 2011 is on the 5th February at Easton Leisure Centre; the team sheet is given below. The doors open at 6.00pm with a 6.15pm warm up and a 6.30pm start. Please make your own way there to arrive at 5.50pm. We are ‘capping’ some new swimmers for this gala to give more swimmers the opportunity to swim for the club and gain experience.
