The results from the Aquae Sulis open meet are now on the results database.

Swimmers' entry times for Gloucester Blocks have been updated to include conversions to short course from this meet . Look at "Entries" on the Results database to find new  times for your Blocks forms.

How can I find my swimmer's pb's or entry times? Print

We are often asked how swimmers can find their results or entry times for swimming meets. All of the results for galas etc. are recorded using  Hytek’s Team Manager software, and the club can then upload up to the last 4 years’ results onto the website. More information is available <here>, but a quick start guide is outlined below.

To find entry times for a meet

1. Log into the website - set up a new username and password if necessary.
2. Click on "BHSC Results Database". This appears on the main menu only when you are logged in.
3. A blue box appears in a separate window - click on "Entries".
4. Find the meet that you have been invited to enter and click on "Entries" to the left of the meet name. Scroll down and you'll find all of your swimmer’s qualifying times.

To see your results
1. Log into the website - set up a new username and password if necessary.
2. Click on "BHSC Results Database". This appears on the main menu only when you are logged in.
3. Click on "Athletes" in the blue box that appears.
4. Athletes are arranged by surname in alphabetical order. Click on the letter that corresponds to you surname.  If there too many swimmers whose surname begins with a particular letter, then you can alter the number of “Records per page” – it only shows the first 20 unless you change it.
5. Click on “Times” next to the swimmer’s name.

6. It will look like there are no times at all, but the system defaults to courses in yards, so you need to reset the "Course" to SCM (short course metres) or LCM (long course metres) depending on whether you are looking for long or short course times.
The fastest "1" will appear, but you can change the number of fastest results to anything you choose.

Bristol Henleaze needs volunteers to train as swim judges Print

Tuesday, 13 November 2012

Whenever our swimmers attend an open meet or swimming competition BHSC is required to provide a trained J1 judge. We are currently finding it very difficulty to meet our responsibility and would like to recruit parents to train as judges.

If you can spare a few hours to train and the odd morning or afternoon to undertake judging responsibilities when BHSC are competing please let us know.

The J1 training course starts on the 8th of January ( 7:30 - 8:30 pm) at Easton Leisure Centre, Bristol.
The course fee will be paid by the club .

If you are interesting in supporting your club by becoming a J1 level judge or if you have any questions about what this would involve please email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Your support is greatly appreciated.

BHSC needs your help! Print

Could you give up some time to train as a timekeeper or judge? As a club we are critically short of qualified judges. We need more volunteers as compared to other clubs we are very thin on the ground in this area. There are a couple of parents who have offered to help so far, so you wouldn't be on your own.

We need parents' help as without these officials from our club it restricts number of swimmers at open meets and we may find that we can no longer enter galas. The more the merrier and then we don't have to rely on the same officials all the time.

Sheila Bryant will be starting a  Judge 1 course starting 8 January - 7:30 -
8:30 pm at Easton Leisure Centre, Bristol.
The course fee is £8 per person, but BHSC will pay for the course.

The J1 course has two formal sessions - the start up, for time keeping/chief time keeping, and a follow on for turn judging when most candidates have carried out some poolside shadowing.
