Bristol Henleaze Swimming Club

Having attended the Best in Bristol gala we came out with a very respectful 4^th place.  This was a tough gala with 100 metre swims for 11 and up and 50 metre swims for 9 year olds which was tough with swimmers taking part in their first gala so a special thank you goes to Finlay Morrow who had some last minute diving lessons to take part in this gala and is a swim school swimmer, well done Finlay and also Esme Maxwell-Banks being her first gala.

We had 23 PB’s on the night out of a possible 33 so that was outstanding, PB’s of the night go to Rory Maxwell with a 11.35sec pb for his 100 fly, Archie Watts 7.5sec pb in 100 breast and 3.77sec pb in 100 back, Rhian Hughes 9.8sec pb for 100 breast, Jake Weeks 4.73sec pb for 50 fly and Joey Brayley 3.3sec pb for 50 back.

We had 5 wins on the night and these were all for the 9 year old girls for their Medley Relay and Freestyle Relay, well done Laura Waters, Alysia Maestri, Esme Maxwell-Banks  and Leonie Milne and for the 9 years 50m breast and 50m back Alysia and 50m free Laura.
