Swim School Time Trials on 2nd Feb - Volunteer parents needed!

We will be running time trials for swim school swimmers on Thursday 2nd February at your normal session  time. We hope to be able to time all swimmers over 25m for frontcrawl, backstroke and breaststroke.

Please bring goggles that are properly adjusted, hat (or have long hair securely tied back) and suitable swimwear (no baggy shorts for boys because they will slow you down!) It's a good idea to bring a spare T-shirt or towel to keep swimmers warm when they are waiting.

When swimmers arrive on poolside, they will be told where to sit. Timings will start with black hats swimming front crawl, then blue hats followed by green and white hats. Swimmers are not competing against eachother, but are trying to set "personal best "times.

We need parents to volunteer to have a go at timekeeping or recording results - no experience needed. We have all the necessary stopwatches (very simple ones), clipboards, pens and you even get a chair to sit on! You would just need to bring trainers, crocs or sandals to wear on poolside and a sense of humourSmile

All swimmers will get a certificate showing their times and the results will appear on the BHSC Results Database (which you can only see if you register with the website and are logged on). All of our swimmers' results from time trials to Nationals appear on this database, so log in now and see if you can find your name!

If you would like to volunteer then please e-mail Kathryn A.S.A.P. Should you have any further questions, or worried swimmers then please talk to any of the teachers at the session next week.
