Club Championships results are already on the results database in the members' area, just a couple of hours after the event finished. That must be a record! We have posted the results in pdf format into the members' area, and these show times for all swims including those who were DQ'd, along with the reasons for disqualification.
Thanks you to everyone who made Club Championships run so smoothly, particularly to Martyn Neale and Mike Aldridge who gave up their Sunday to referee for us, even though they are not members of our club. This is the first time we have run Club Championships as a licensed meet. It is quite incredible that, as a single club, we now have enough qualified officials to fulfil the licensing criteria (we needed 17 qualified officials!) for a Level 4 meet, using all 8 lanes. Not that long ago we barely had enough officials to send to a gala! Nicola Heffner has been the driving force behind the recruitment and training of officials and we are always looking for more people to train, so if you are interested in joining our happy band of timekeepers and judges, then please let us know. Thank you Nicola, and thank you to all of our officials, poolside marshals and helpers, results team and door staff for making today a great success.
Awards will be given out at our annual awards night and disco, on Saturday 4th February 2017, at Gloucester County Cricket Club in Bishopston. There will be loads of certificates as well as trophies for Club Champions in all age groups. More details to follow.
We will now be looking towards identifying swimmers with County Consideration and Qualifying times. You can see these times in the Resources section. If you have just missed out in achieving the County times and would like to have another go, you can still enter the UBSC Level 3 Meet on 19th/20th November if you let me know now!
